The Associação Portuguesa da Classe Access organised Access Class Match Race using 303 dinghies on Tuesday 5th June during the Volvo Ocean Race Stopover in Lisbon.

The event was a great success, all held within the confines of the harbour.  The programme was contested by 6 teams comprising one sailor from each VOR boat and one disabled sailor from APCA member clubs in a round robin with quarter and finals to find a winner.

The day provided excellent breeze and the 303 excelled as a match racing boat, praised by all, despite some unorthodox weight transfer techniques!

The only disappointment was not all teams sent a representative as they were too busy preparing their boats for the nationals, but there were some quality sailors and competitive sailing.
